There are four specific types of bags, each with unique functions and safety uses.

TYPE A FIBC'S

Type A FlBCs are made of plain-woven polypropylene and other non-conductive fabrics. FlBcs constructed of a fabric that does not have any protecting

properties for the static charge.

This type of FlBc for non-flammable substances.

TYPE B FIBC'S

A type "B" bag is constructed from insulating fabric with a breakdown voltage of less than 6 kv. This provision prevents the risk of energetic sparks andpropagating brush discharges which can ignite dust-air mixtures and flammable gases and solvent vapors.

1.Used safely to transport dry, combustible powders (MlE > 3 m))

2.There are to be no flammable solvents or gases present around the bag

3.DO NOT USE to transport flammable products (MlE < 3 ml)

TYPE C FIBC'S

Type C fiBcs, also known as conducive FlBcs or ground-able fiBCs, are made from non-conductive polypropylene fabrics interwoven with conducting threadstraditionally sewn in a grid pattern.

1.Used safely to transport flammable powders

2.Used safely when flammable solvents or gases are present around the bag

3.DO NOT USE when the ground connection is not present or has become damaged

TYPE D FIBC'S

Type D flBCs are made from ant-static and static disipative fabrics designed to safely prevent the ourence of incendiary sparks, brush discharges andpropagating brush discharges without the need for a connection from the FlBc to a designated ground/earth.

1.Used safely to transport flammable powders

2.Used safely when flammable solvents or gases are present around the bag

3.DO NOT USE when the surface is contaminated or coated with conductive products such as water or grease.
