Improved safety: The manual handling of bulk material in bags and drums combined with the discharging of material into process equipment can expose workers to injuries. Bulk bags require mechanical means to move the container (fork lift, pallet jack, or hoise), which means less manual movement by workers.

Types of FIBC Bag
Type A FIBC Bags
These basic FIBCs offer no protection against static electricity and are not suitable for flammable or combustible materials.
Type B FIBC Bags
Type B bags have a static dissipative inner liner that helps prevent static build-up on the bag's surface. However, they're still not recommended for flammable materials.
Type C FIBC Bags (Conductive)
Type C bags feature conductive yarns woven into the fabric. This allows static electricity to safely dissipate through grounding, making them ideal for flammable or explosive materials.
Type D FIBC Bags (Anti-static)
Type D bags are made with specialized materials that prevent static from accumulating on the bag itself. This eliminates the need for grounding and makes them suitable for flammable environments.

Animal feed, grains and seeds: FIBC bags are a sanitary and effective way to store animal feed, grains and seeds. The agriculture industry relies on packing and storing solutions that prevent pests, mold and other pathogens from infiltrating the supply. Type of Material
Type C or D FIBCs are necessary if the materials being stored are flammable or static-sensitive.
Type A or B bags may be used for non-flammable materials.
Coated bags or liner inserts are appropriate for fine powders.

Load Capacity and Safety
Select bags with the proper Safe Working Load (SWL) and Safety Factor (SF).
Common SWL ranges: 500 kg to 2000 kg.
Safety factors are 5:1 for single-trip bags and 6:1 for multi-trip bags.
