The Safe Working Load (SWL) of FIBC (Ton Bag) normally ranges from 500kg to 3 tons. The mainstream specifications are 1 ton / 1.5 tons / 2 tons. It follows Chinese standard GB/T 10454-2000, with a regular safety factor of 5:1~6:1.

◆Common Safe Working Load (Main Specifications)
Light Duty: 500kg (0.5 ton); for light chemicals, food additives and small-batch grain.
Standard Duty: 1000kg (1 ton); most widely used for grain, fertilizer, mineral powder and construction materials.
Medium-Heavy Duty: 1500kg (1.5 tons); for high-density powder, metal scrap, ore and similar materials.
Heavy Duty: 2000kg (2 tons); for large-volume, high-density materials such as cement, sand and gravel, industrial raw materials.
Extra Heavy Duty: 2500kg–3000kg (2.5–3 tons); customized thickened base fabric and high-strength lifting loops, suitable for ore, steel products, etc.

◆National Standard & Safety Factor
GB/T 10454-2000 requires the safety factor to be no less than 5:1
(1 ton Safe Working Load → minimum breaking strength ≥ 5 tons).
A 6:1 safety factor is commonly used for export and dangerous goods packaging.
Safety Factor = Ultimate Breaking Load ÷ Safe Working Load

◆Safe Working Load & Dimension Reference

Safe Working Load Common Dimension (L × W × H)
500kg 80×80×80cm
1000kg 90×90×110cm
1500kg 100×100×120cm
2000kg 110×110×130cm

◆Selection Key Points
Safe Working Load ≠ Ultimate Load
Overloading is strictly forbidden, please reserve 10%–20% safety margin.
Check marking: Qualified FIBC shall be marked with Safe Working Load, safety factor, base fabric weight and lifting belt strength.
Material & structure: PP base fabric, four-corner reinforcement and double stitching improve loading capacity and safety.
