How is the UV resistance of bulk bags?

The UV resistance of bulk bags is influenced by the material and manufacturing process, resulting in different performances.

Bulk bags made of ordinary polypropylene have relatively weak UV resistance. Under prolonged UV exposure, the polypropylene molecular chains will break, leading to a decrease in bag strength, brittleness, yellowing of the color, and a shortened service life. They may only be suitable for short-term outdoor storage or indoor use.

However, bulk bags that have undergone special UV treatment have significantly improved performance. Manufacturers add UV stabilizer masterbatch during the production process. The light stabilizers in the masterbatch can absorb or reflect UV rays, reducing their damage to the bag material. These bulk bags can be used outdoors for a long time, effectively resisting UV radiation, maintaining good physical properties and appearance, and extending the service life. They are suitable for outdoor storage and transportation scenarios, but the cost is relatively high.
