Bridge preloading ton bags are a type of flexible packaging container used in bridge engineering for preloading. They are mainly used to simulate the loads that may be encountered during bridge construction, in order to test the strength, stability, and settlement of bridge supports or foundations.

Material and Structure
 Material: Usually made of high-strength polypropylene (PP) woven fabric. The outer PP base fabric is treated with UV resistance, which can prevent the material from becoming brittle due to sunlight exposure. Some ton bags have a composite polyethylene (PE) film on the inner layer, forming a dense waterproof layer that effectively prevents water penetration.

 Structure: The bottom adopts a cross-bottom or grid-bottom structure to disperse the weight of sand and stones and prevent bottom tearing. Additional horizontal reinforcement belts are added to the sides to enhance overall stability. Four corners are equipped with lifting straps, and the connection between the lifting straps and the bag body is sewn with double threads or bonded by heat melting to ensure safe load-bearing.

 High cost-effectiveness: It can directly use the sand, gravel and other materials available on the construction site for filling, without the need for additional purchase of special fillers, which can save 30%-50% of the filling material costs. The empty bags can be folded, which can save storage space, and can be reused 5-10 times, with a low single-use cost.

Convenient operation: The top feeding port has a diameter of over 50cm, which is suitable for filling machines or manual rapid filling. The bottom discharge port is equipped with a drawstring or valve, which can achieve mechanized discharge. The single-bag discharge time is shortened to within 5 minutes. The four-corner straps are widened to 8cm, which can safely bear a weight of 2 tons, is compatible with various lifting equipment, and the square design is convenient for stacking, which can improve the utilization rate of storage space.

Safe and reliable: Through vertical drop tests, top burst strength tests and other engineering verifications, the carrying capacity is over 2 tons, meeting the requirements of the "Technical Specifications for Construction of Highway Bridges and Culverts". The sealing design can ensure no leakage during transportation and avoid pollution of the bridge structure.

Specification dimensions

The size can be customized according to specific engineering requirements such as bridge span and support height. Common sizes include 90cm×90cm×110cm, 100cm×100cm×120cm, etc. The capacity is generally between 500 and 2000L, and it can support a weight of 0.5 to 3 tons.

Application scenario

It is mainly applied in scenarios such as preloading of formwork supports for cast-in-place box girders, loading of steel truss structures of suspension bridges, preloading of hanging baskets and stay cable baskets during cantilever casting, and preloading of the side spans and approach bridges. Through simulating the weight of concrete or other loads, it is used to test the safety of the bridge structure.
